This day was a record heatwave in Portland! The first attempt at a post-COVID hybrid 3 Tree Tech Summit took place on August 13th, 2021 to a sold-out group of cyber security executives in-person locally and virtually across the country. Thank you to Carraig Stanwyck and everyone who participated!
Securing the Enterprise Against Tomorrow's Cyber Threats
This summit will focus on today's threats, what to anticipate tomorrow, and how to prepare your enterprise for the "when" not the "if." Our infosec tech summit will be led by Carraig Stanwyck, Security Leader of Wave Financial (H&R Block's big bet on SMB companies). He will dispel how large distributed global enterprises are targeted today, what can be done to prepare for tomorrow, and how a musically inclined mind and cyber security go hand-in-hand.

Carraig Stanwyck lead the Security Operations Center (SOC) for the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), transitioned to government service and was selected as Acting CISO of the Risk Management Agency (RMA) securing over $100 billion dollars in liabilities.
Carraig was recruited by H&R Block in 2019 to rebuild their security operations program from the ground up and built Block’s first fully integrated global team setting the groundwork for him to then create an organic, globally-agnostic, 24/7 Incident Response function that launched in March 2020 in the face of COVID while maintaining stellar metrics. Rebuilt around a progressive SOC model that included dedicated SOAR and Adversary Emulation functions.
As a result of success building H&R Block’s security operations program, Carraig was asked to build and direct Wave Financial’s security program given its exponential growth and importance to H&R Block’s long term strategy to support small businesses.
Prior to landing in cybersecurity, focus was on Human and Biometrics Intelligence with the Department of Defense. When he isn’t working to keep the world safe, Carraig and his wife are providing an adventurous, rewarding life with their five children.
