Veteran tech entrepreneur Bob Kingery and seasoned tech exec Eric Skeens came together in 2018 to launch 3 Tree Tech to empower leaders and to build a community of mission-minded folks who are fed up with the inefficient practices in the industry. They quickly expanded the team to Chris Moeller who now heads up the operations of 3 Tree, and Jen Bodeis, who is the glue across the organization.
The rapid advancement of technology has outpaced the viability of traditional VARs, agents, MSPs, and brokers. Once key players, these traditional distribution channels have become enemies of efficiency. Today, they push older inventory and highest-margin dollar deals to get bigger commissions.
As the industry changed, department heads began going directly to the manufacturer and purveyors of technology, bypassing the biased middleman. This makes sense on paper, but it creates a new problem: Time.
